Treasures of Aht Urhgan

Well, as Unatron5000 would have said, "I've done it! 10011010110." My adventures in Vana'diel yesterday led me to the Near East!

First, I had to gather 6 items, all rare drops from monsters, normally required for two seperate subjob quests. Some took longer to drop than others, but with the help of Kaimoria, one of the best mithra ever (thanks so much!), I was able to gather them all in a short amount of time. What you see here is the Sea Horror terrorizing the ship to Mhaura, and a mithra monk laying into it with asuran fists!



When turning in the items, I decided to take a random screenshot of a mithra red mage, only to have her wave at me as I snapped the photo! As it turns out, this mithra, called Paintedclouds, hangs around my linkshell every so often, CelestialKnights. We chatted for a bit, then parted ways. At the port of Mhaura, we bumped into one another again, and decided to explore the expansion areas together with a friend of hers. The sights were...beautiful. I was awe-struck the whole time, and snapped a million photos. I'm only allowed five at a time, so here are some landmarks:





I never ventured outside of the city for fear of my life, but I'll have to when I complete the quests for the newest jobs available. I'm very excited to try Corsair out, the pirate/gambler of Final Fantasy XI. I can't wait to see more of Aht Urhgan!

Sahagin Enmity

Just some images from a party in Yuhtunga Jungle, by the Sea Serpent Grotto entrance. It was a little rough at first, but I think I really needed to be thrown into cold water, you know? By the time the group was up, I was confidant with my ability to tank in a group once more. My appologies to those in the party, however...I swear, I'm not a noob! :P

Yuhtunga Jungle Duo

Good evening, everyone! I had myself a fairly productive night, starting with some boring low leveling, bringing my Monk to level 7, and ending with developing my Paladin.



Bored out of my mind, Scheherazade came to my rescue, inviting me to duo some mobs outside of Kazham. I agreed, got to jeuno and, after grabbing an empress's band, barely made the airship to Elshimo Island.



We got off to a rocky start, ambushed by the goblin smithys, which were beyond our skill to fight. Three times we found ourselves running for the zone to the safety of Kazham (to those partying at the gate, so sorry >.<;).



We got our act together, however, and summoning our faithful NPCs to our sides, we had ourselves a micro party. Eventually, we even began XPing off of goblins.




But most importantly, I leveled up ^^ I was so excited to finally have Cure III, I cast it on everyone I ran past, and constantly reminded my linkshell mates that I had the spell. Like I said, a productive and fun night. Tomorrow, I will be making my return to organized parties. We shall see how that goes....
